The Harrow pub thumbnailStay in your seats and go on a pub crawl in and around Bourne End. Step back in time to see the pubs of yesteryear. This will be on Thursday 20th Nov at 20:00 in the May Woollerton Hall at Bourne End Community Centre.

Stay in your seats and go on a pub crawl in and around Bourne End. Step back in time to see the pubs of yesteryear. Do you remember the Blacksmith’s Arms in Well End or the Anchor in Wooburn? What was the Firefly originally called?  Take a trip down memory lane based on images from Ken Townsend’s postcard collection. Brilliant enlargements of these old pubs on the screen.

Did you know there was once on pub or alehouse in Wooburn for every 71 adults? Our ancestors never had cars or streamed films at home so where else did they go for the evening?

Come along on 20th Nov and take a trip down memory lane with Karen Savage and Dave Foster.

A pub crawl around 50 pubs without leaving your seat (except to use the bar at the Community Centre!).
